Get to Know Dr. William Marrero Ortiz

Dr. William Marrero Ortiz is board-certified in Geriatric Medicine and Internal Medicine, and is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for older adults in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

He began his academic journey at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He then obtained his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution. To further specialize in the care of older adults, Dr. Marrero Ortiz completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.

With a strong commitment to promoting healthy aging and enhancing quality of life, Dr. Marrero Ortiz provides personalized, evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
